Unit 001 - Cable Avoidance & Genny
Trains both operatives and supervisors who are required to use cable avoidance equipment.  Training is also given on the Genny signal transmitter.

Unit 002 - Signing, Lighting & Guarding
This Unit is required for competent operatives who work on or within the vicinity of roads and highways. Delegates will learn the safety implications for the protection of site, staff, pedestrians and vehicles.

This unit requires the operative to reinstate footways and modular surfaces; blocks, slabs and concrete.

Operatives Course
Covers Units 1 – 6 & 9 - This course provides experienced Operatives with the practical and theoretical knowledge required to excavate and reinstate the public highway in accordance with the New Roads & Street Works Legislation (NRSWA) Under the above act there must be one trained operative competent in the activities they are undertaking, per gang of workers.
18/19 & 22-24 September, 18/19 & 24-26 November 08

Supervisors Course
Covers Units 1 & 10 – 14 - This classroom based course provides experienced Supervisors with the knowledge needed to carry out the supervision of all excavation and reinstatement works to the public highway in accordance with the New Roads & Street Works Legislation. One trained Supervisor must be available at all times to monitor the operatives
06/07 & 14-16 October, 08/09 & 15-17 December 08
