What Grant can I receive from the CITB- ConstructionSkills?

Providing you are a levy paying member of the CITB you are entitled to receive a grant of £35.00 for a full day course or £17.50 for a half day course per person.

For the SMSTS courses (Site Safey Plus), the grant has increased from £90.00 to:

SMSTS Initial - 5 day - £250.00

SMSTS 2 day refresher  & SSSTS 2 day - £100.00

The Site Safety grants are payable upon achievement of the courses

Rail Course Requirements

Candidates or company's wishing to place people on the PTS courses must have a valid NCCA (National Compentecy Control Agency) ID number and also a Link-up Number before attending the course.

A drugs and alcohol certificate is a mandatory requirement, as is a medical certificate before taking before taking part on the course.

When will I receive my joining instructions?

Joining instructions are normally sent out about 2 weeks before the course to the person who organised the training, and they will be asked to distribute them to the appropriate candidate; unless we are informed otherwise.

The instructions contain start times, a map & directions of the venue and what PPE (if necessary) to bring.
